A rare and beautiful Victorian chest, this old box would have many a tale to tell and is well travelled by sea, still remnants of old shipping labels, the initial of the owner on each end and the letters on the front panel, A sturdy and well preserved piece with original iron wraparound hinges all in tact. Rusty old handles each end for carrying, at some point in recent years castors were added ( which could be removed) to make a useful piece of furniture, excellent TV stand, coffee table or storage unit.
